Today, students from Effingham, Clay, Jasper, Shelby, and Fayette counties had the privilege of hearing from Bob Schultz, entrepreneur and MIE board member.
Bob challenged us to step outside our comfort zones and reminded us that it is where the best opportunities are found. He shared the importance of a strong handshake and confident introduction, and how to spark conversations by finding something in common or something incredible about the other person.
We also learned how to do a SWOT analysis on ourselves and were introduced to how it works in a business context. Bob explained that conversations can be about people, things, or ideas, and the best ones are always about ideas.
The biggest takeaway of all was simple but powerful: smile. 😀
